A fleet management and cold chain monitoring platform developed for a Dubai-based food distribution company. The firm operated a fleet of 380 vehicles making 8,000+ daily deliveries across the UAE. Route planning was an experience-based manual process, cold chain breaches were only detected at delivery points, and fuel consumption ran 15% above industry average.

We established a telemetry infrastructure that collects data from GPS trackers, temperature/humidity sensors, and OBD-II vehicle diagnostic units mounted on each vehicle via AWS IoT Core. Collected data is processed through Kinesis Data Streams and stored in TimescaleDB. For route optimization, we developed a genetic algorithm engine that evaluates traffic, weather, and historical delivery data. The cold chain monitoring module generates instant alerts on temperature threshold breaches and recommends rerouting to the nearest depot or vehicle.
